KRISTOFF ST. JOHN

Kristoff St. John made his television debut at age seven in the sitcom series “That’s My Mama.” Now, 33 years later, he is one of the stars on CBS-TV’s “The Young and The Restless,” the number one rated drama for the past 17 years on daytime television, playing the popular character of Neil Winters. Is it just a coincidence that Kristoff has been starring on Y and R for 16 years?

Kristoff is no stranger to the CBS network, having starred in the series “Charlie and Company,” with Flip Wilson, Gladys Knight, and Della Reese. He was also a series regular on CBS’ “The Bad News Bears.” Kristoff also starred in the Spelling series, “The San Pedro Beach Bums.”

As a child and young adult, Kristoff worked with legendary entertainers such as Richard Pryor, Tony Orlando, Diahann Carroll, Jack Warden, James Earl Jones, Bill Cosby, Flip Wilson, Smokey Robinson, Irene Cara, Gladys Knight, Farrah Fawcett, Jon Voight, and had the distinction of playing the title role of Young Alex Haley in “Roots 2,” for which he won a Youth in Film Award.

Kristoff has starred in many television dramatic features and mini series, as well as over two dozen television guest star roles on shows including “Suddenly Susan,” “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Get Real,” “Martin,” “Living Single,” “The Cosby Show,” “Diagnosis Murder,” “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper,” and more. He also guest starred in Bow Wow’s WB pilot project, “Saving Jason.”

Kristoff’s feature film credits include starring roles in “The Champ,” “Top of the Heap,” “Avatarmania,” “Trois 2: Pandoras Box,” “Spiritual Warriors,” and independent film, “Carpool Guy.” He’s also been cast in the 2008 release, Knight Fever.

Over the span of his career, Kristoff has appeared on over three dozen talk shows including “The Tonight Show,” with Jay Leno. In 1998, Kristoff was voted one of the 40 most fascinating faces by People Magazine and the following year, he was voted one of the ‘top ten soap studs’ of all time by E-Online.

Unwilling to limit his artistic talents to acting, Kristoff formed his own production company, Moonboy Inc., to produce and direct his own projects. His first production was in 1995-1997 when he launched the pilot that eventually became the CBS series, “CBS Soap Break.” To see a full list of Kristoff’s past and present work, visit the ‘projects’ section on this website.

Kristoff has also begun writing screenplays in his spare time, one of which has been optioned by Warner Brothers.

In addition to being a talented actor and producer, Kristoff St. John is also the father of three children: Julian, Paris and Lola, and an avid charity contributor. He is a supporter of animal rights and an active PETA member. He is also a spokesperson for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
